 HOMELAND SECURITY BLOG

WELCOME TO G&H INTERNATIONAL SERVICES, INC.

There are many benefits to being a small, private company like G&H: flexibility, freedom to be creative, never-ending source of passion and commitment, etc. Sometimes the ideas generated by such a group are so plentiful, or ahead of their time, that they have to wait until the time is just right; sometimes that could be years. As we near the end of our Website's first year, we are in the planning stages for new features and ideas to launch in 2010 that have been kicking around G&H for at least the last six years, or more in some cases. Finally - almost all the stars have aligned (they never really ALL align, right?), and the emergence of Web 2.0 has made realizing the potential of these ideas suddenly achievable.

So please be on the look-out in 2010 for the first phase of the Community Preparedness Forum (CPF). We started with our Homeland Security Blog, which will continue but become part of a larger and more content rich platform to provide our stakeholders with the opportunity to comment and provide input into policy matters that impact community preparedness at the local, state, regional, tribal and national levels. Utilizing wikis, blogs and forums, CPF will offer a venue for practitioners to share ideas and lessons learned, an opportunity to collaborate on important ideas and initiatives, and to help each other in a virtual environment that is not currently available to them.
