WELCOME TO G&H INTERNATIONAL SERVICES, INC.
It has been an exciting start to 2010, and we have many initiatives underway, including the anticipated Spring launch of the Community Preparedness Forum, phase one. Our Homeland Security Blog has been very active, and we've welcomed a new participating organization. The Homeland Security Blog will continue as part of CPF but become part of a larger and more content rich platform to provide our stakeholders with the opportunity to comment and provide input on policy matters that impact community preparedness at the local, state, regional, tribal and national levels. Utilizing wikis, blogs and forums, CPF will offer a venue for practitioners to share ideas and lessons learned, an opportunity to collaborate on important ideas and initiatives, and to help each other in a virtual environment that is not currently available to them. Another area of interest for our company is the world of Web 2.0 and social media, more specifically how these technologies are transforming the world of community preparedness - all aspects of preparedness: protection, prevention, response and recovery. And not just in the way people use the technologies themselves, but in the way they work together and share information from a cultural perspective. We encourage you to visit the Homeland Security Blog for more information and share your thoughts on this constantly evolving field. Once launched, the CPF will have a portion of its Resource Center dedicated to these topics. |
