MATT ASTON
I am originally from the beautiful and humid state of Alabama. While completing my undergraduate degree at the University of Alabama, I worked at several public and nonprofit organizations that influenced my career path tremendously. The touching experiences I had working with people from a variety of backgrounds left me with a desire to continue to work in a capacity that helped the public. After graduation, I worked with a state government advocacy group before deciding to apply for graduate school. I moved to Washington, D.C. in 2007 and later obtained a Master of Public Administration from American University. Outside of work I enjoy reading, playing tennis, and rummaging through antique stores. I also enjoy playing music and hope to take up the accordion within the next year.
